The Yongnuo YN-622C-TX is a full-featured TTL 2.4GHz radio controller that attaches to the Canon cameraÍs hotshoe and can communicate with off-camera speedlites that have a compatible radio receiver. The receiver can either be a Yongnuo YN-622C II radio receiver which is then attached to the speedlite (such as a Canon 580EX II) or it could be a speedlite with an integrated 622C receiver such as the Yongnuo YN685.
The YN-622C-TX controller provides a faster and more convenient user interface on the camera than CanonÍs own flash control menu. WhatÍs more it allows remote manual and TTL groups to be mixed together and used at the same time. High Speed Sync is also enabled.
Compatibility
This radio flash controller can be used to control a YN-622C II receiver. The receiver can then be attached to a Canon speedlite such as the 580EX II or the 430EX II allowing full manual and TTL control. Not only can you control the power output and TTL flash exposure compensation but you can also control the zoom function.
The YN-622C-TX can also be used to control Yongnuo speedlites with a built-in 622C radio receiver.

Alternatives
The controller has an easy to use interface and LCD display allowing you to quickly adjust your speedlite settings. The YN-622C is actually a transceiver so it can transmit and receive radio signals. Instead of using the YN-622C-TX you can use two YN-622C units, one on the camera and one on the speedlite. Since it doesnÍt have an LCD display you have to rely on the cameraÍs flash control menu. ItÍs a slightly cheaper option but not as convenient to use so I donÍt particularly recommend it.
